Welcome to the Digaden Website, we are a small show, agility and breeding kennels based on the borders of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, in the beautiful Cotswolds. Our lives revolve around our dogs, they play a huge part in our lives, and we are both very passionate for the breed that we both love.
All our dogs enjoy a country living lifestyle, they have two walks a day, where they can have a good run off the lead and enjoy themselves, then return home with big smiles on their faces. Weather permitting the dogs have as much time as possible in our large, landscaped exercise paddocks. When they are at rest some of our dogs live in our large, heated kennels and the remaining dogs live in the house with us. We go training three or four times a week which is a combination of Agility Training and Ring craft Training. We regularly compete with our dogs in the show ring and the agility rings, we have bred several show Champions and run our dogs up to grade 7 in agility.
We are very proud of our bloodlines, we promote all our dogs having a low Co-efficient inbreeding percentage, to be correct in type, healthy inside and out and balanced happy and outgoing temperaments. All our dogs are health tested in accordance with all the Kennel Club current recommendations.
We were members of the Assured Breeder Scheme from 2008 until and when the scheme sadly ended at the end of 2024. We also have a Local Authority Breeding License. We usually breed between one and three litters a year and we do operate a waiting list and offer Kennel Visits to potential new Digaden owners.
Several years ago, we were honoured to be invited by the Kennel Club to be part of several films which were for the Kennel Club website. The first film was to show the Assured Breeder Scheme inspection/visit process, the second and third films were both aimed at Breeder Education: ‘Whelping and rearing a litter of puppies’ and ‘Preparing puppies for their future lives’.
